Never let a good crisis go to waste

There is a vacuum of political will to tackle the difficult problems our country faces

There has been a lack of defence strategy about who are likely to be our enemies which in turn leads to scattergun procurement and under spending

The country has overspent (much is a ponzi scheme which is coming to an end)

There is increasing unemployment and signs of civil unrest.

Alternative channels of news have gained traction outside the mainstream media so they can’t entirely control the narrative.

The above are all problems for Britain’s own deep state perma-government.

The lack of a clear strategy for our nation means a directionless polity is subject to the blandishments of lobby groups for big pharmaceutical companies, landowners, bankers, the military industrial complex and foreign interest groups. (We have seen several foreign billionaires having meetings with the Prime Minister)

In this vacuum there are opportunities to meld new crises and divert tax-payer resources. Launched in December 2025 a new Military Intelligence Service and a new Defence Counter-Intelligence Unit to counter rising hostile intelligence activity against the MoD (up 50% on the previous year). So who is the hostile state?

Speaking to someone who has questioned detained UK citizens on their return from Russia at a UK airport he seemed completely convinced that Russia is doing dastardly things to the UK. (Brexit anyone?)

But the public is shown no convincing evidence of Russia’s involvement in what the everyday English man experiences: the increasingly pot-holed roads, long waiting times to get treated at A and E, GP appointments, rising cost of living including energy prices, the cross-channel people smuggling operation — which seem to be entirely home-goals scored by our very own successive governments. So when General Sir Roley Walker, Chief of the General Staff spoke to 700 of Catterick Garrison’s military personnel saying that the nation’s citizens would need to make sacrifices very soon implying that the UK is gearing up for war it landed with a dislocated thud to the rest of us.

Yes we had seen the warmongering from Keir Starmer who launched ‘the coalition of the willing’ to fight the proxy war in Ukraine. But surelythe point of a ‘proxy’ war means a certain deniability from the government and no bloody messes for British citizens including conscription?

The allocation of money - the latest official government figure of £25 billion has been budgeted in various forms of support to Ukraine - is all good news for the military industrial complex - I have a relative who works in venture capital and he says that defence investment is all the rage now. Julian Assange observed in 2011 (I paraphrase) ‘that an endless war - not a successful war is the goal.’

A war solves a lot of the perma-government’s problems; it is a convenient excuse for the pot-holes and increasing third-worldism, it gives them extraordinary emergency powers to interfere in our lives, our work, our assets, what media we watch. If one were a cynic one might think a war is a convenient way to kill off their potential enemies at home by sending them off to die on the front line.

Then there are those who wouldn’t want to waste a good crisis; the people who want to reduce the world’s population can get behind wars; those who are steering us to a one world government dominated by the West and regime change and put their own people in place; firms who want to test their new military equipment and bioweapons have a sandpit to play in within the war-zones; organised crime benefits in the form of more potential for people trafficking and organ-harvesting.

I am not convinced Britain is seriously going to go head to head with Russia - as I haven’t seen any evidence that there could be a realistic victory and not a radioactive wasteland but engaging in the appearance of a perma-war via proxies such as Ukraine and other frontline countries along Russia’s border must surely look highly tempting from the perma-government’s point of view.

So expect more smoke and mirrors.
