Today you could hold leaflets, not have cold hands, and get some rays. Walking around the town centre in Shrewsbury I met some familiar faces and chatted with them and met some new ones. If people are not actually browsing a shop window, and are in the streets approaching the busiest areas like Pride Hill, the vast majority wanted to see what the Teds Police Commissioner Election was about. If they were browsing I just walked past, and headed for the next alleyway or side street.
The saddest story was from the unhappy local father of a young Police Officer working for the Met in London. His son can't get a date as women (girls) associate Police not with fighting crime any more but with being criminal (after a widely publicised case where a woman was murdered by a Police Officer). He also says that in TV Police dramas much of the action takes place in canteens, yet in reality all the canteens have been closed. There aren't any left. His son was asked to cover 999 calls. The first one was someone who had lost their keys and wanted someone to come and find them. His father was so sad, you could almost cry hearing him talk. 'Morale has gone,' he told me - the same story I've been getting from sources connected with local Police. It's most concerning and absolute proof that English Democrat Leader Robin Tilbrook's and David Dickason's approach to Policing is urgently required.
Another man (human with appendage!) told me that he was following the media and was caught up emotionally with some other drama about one nation killing the people of another nation, and what did I think?
'I'm only interested in talking to people face to face,' I said. 'All main media stories could be true or false, and I have no way of knowing which is which. If we just talk to each other, as people once used to do, the truth is easy to find, and it's never what you read in a newspaper or see on screens. In all wars we should stop them happening with negotiation, and bring them to an end as soon as we can.
Beyond that, we should rebuild the Police force we used to have, as if we don't, how will anything be able to function? I can recommend a day out talking to people on the street. They start off silently accepting a leaflet in most cases, and when they start talking, the real story comes out. The Teds Police Commissioner campaign is urgently needed. Vote for the Teds on May 2nd. We can move on from there, but this is our first foray into West Mercia, making history.
At the bus station, things as usual were light-hearted with people voicing objections, rather than simply refusing to take a leaflet. The most common being 'I'm not interested in the Police.' I always fire back with 'If you're burgled, would you be interested in the Police then?' That gets a Yes or a nod, so I go one step further - 'Well you better take one then!' Raising a smile as a rule. It's actually fun when people offer a bit of banter.
A former soldier I met again today by chance told me he's on board with everything but he hesitates to back English Independence (like a lot of people) as all his life he'd been trained to be loyal to the Jack. I pointed out that the UK has signed away our sovereignty to world government bodies and only an Independent England, Wales or Scotland will nullify the treaties getting sovereignty back.
We win on the day to day issues in every case. People are sick of Police fronting up Gay Pride and doing the Rainbow thing. People working for Police or Fire Service are sick of positive discrimination, appointing people of the correct colour or gender rather than based on quality. Everyone is sick of it all across the board. The only thing that people have to do is realise that these trends are worldwide, and agreed to by the UK in various treaties. We have to nullify all of these and Westminster MPs will never do that, and Westminster government won't do it. If we want Common sense back, we have to start from scratch outside the UK. Meantime let's sort out the Police to begin with. Vote English Democrats for Police Commissioner on May 2nd 2024.
