@robintilbrook explained to me that under Free Speech rules political leafleters cannot be moved on from shopping centres, bus stations and the like.

I wonder what the claim would be for the bans we experienced from Shrewsbury and Telford shopping areas. Obviously no claim will be made on this occasion, but if they continue to move us on, we would consider making a claim. I imagine it would prove expensive for the shopping centres.

We always take care not to disturb shoppers and only leaflet when they are arriving or leaving - or as with many husbands/male partners who stand outside the stores looking bored to death! They never refuse an interesting looking leaflet. At Christmas time, there are dozens of them stood there looking less than amused by the goings-on!!
