Are you a Russophobe? You're nothing new.

Discussion raises several issues. The Soviet Union did not collapse. It was dissolved by three treacherous politicians. Russophobia in Whitehall means officials continually underestimate Russia's military capability. Including Pre-WW2. Russophobia documented over centuries - still ongoing.

Alexander Mercouris recently returned from Russia describes what he found there - continuity of historical perspective from Russia's point of view, from WW2 and before that.

Marcus Papadopoulos - Britain and Russia were on same sides in WW1 and WW2 - but they don't trust each other. The Crimean War lasted three years 1853-1856 when Britain and Russia fought directly. Similar language then as now vis a vis Ukraine. A distinct pattern is at play. Despising each other. Lack of trust.

Britain no longer exists. The media lacks journalists with any knowledge of Russia. The media is all propaganda - projecting Russia as a backward incapable force. Russia can call up 23 million soldiers. They have 26,000 tanks. They are nuclear armed, and are able to fight a war against US and NATO. Russia's industry is massive and can resupply. Only 15% of Russia's military capacity is deployed in Ukraine. Yet Ukraine is close to collapse.

Britsh ground forces have been stripped of all their weaponry.

Russophobia is a historic phenomenon in Whitehall and Westminster. There are others in Britain who see things differently who want to build close relations with Moscow.

Ed. The only political party with this viewpoint are The English Democrats.

Britain is still trading with Russia. Diplomats are talking between Britain and Russia every day.

It would not be hard to bring peace if the political will was there. Fire Stormer wants war. So do Tories and Reform. The only way to peace is the Teds.
