Robin Tilbrook's Spring Conference speech. The English need to become one.

English Democrats Party Dear henry --

English Democrats Spring Conference in Rutland – March 2026

We had a great weekend for our Conference in Rutland and an array of interesting speakers.

I thought you might like to see some of my speech. The main point was as follows:-

Good morning Ladies & Gentlemen

Thank you very much for coming to our Spring Conference here in beautiful Rutland in the heart of England. I hope to live up to Rutland’s motto, Multum in Parvo, which means “much in a little thing”.

Ladies and Gentlemen we come here at a turning point in English history, some of you would say a tipping point. Others might use the expression critical mass. Because what has happened is that over the last 50 years England has gone from a country where there had been very little immigration for well over 1,000 years to truly massive immigration.

Indeed the previous big immigration was in fact the Anglo Saxon invasion of England in the 5th and 6th Centuries after Christ.

Even the largest estimates of the numbers of Saxon, Angles and Jutes that came would not exceed ½ million. Admittedly that was in the abandoned Roman province of Britain had a population of perhaps 2 million.

The Anglo Saxons assimilated some of the indigenous peoples and drove the rest of the survivors, into the mountains of what is now Wales.

Since that date there has been only the changes to the elite structures in England arising from first the Danish Conquest under Sweyn and then his son, Canute; and then the Norman Conquest, after which almost all of the English aristocracy was replaced; and then last, but in many ways, not least, the Protestant wind bringing 10,000 Dutch Grenadiers to Torbay on the 4th November 1688 for what is called the Glorious Revolution.

Up until the Second World War the general pattern of migration was from England to settle in the White colonies and to rule elsewhere in the Empire.

Since the war, whilst the numbers coming in the 50’s, 60’s, 70’s and 80’s was causing some increase in anxiety by English people, nevertheless the total numbers were not sufficient to spread much beyond a few enclaves in our cities.

In the late 90’s with the arrival of Blair and his Government’s policy of “rubbing the noses of the Right in diversity” and still worse in the 15 years of fake “Conservative” Government, culminating in the “Boris wave” of officially over a million immigrants per year.

I would say that those numbers are dramatically underplayed. but nevertheless we are now at a point where our country, which in the late 70’s when Mrs Thatcher could talk about the danger of the English population being “swamped” by immigrants, we are now at a point where in many of England’s cities English people have been not merely swamped, but almost entirely displaced.

It is now officially said that in Greater London 65% of the population are not White. Of the 35% who are said to be White, certainly no more than half are actually English. So as John Cleese of Monty Python, Life of Brian and Fawlty Towers fame got into trouble for saying, “London is no longer an English city”!

Whilst this has been going on with mass immigration, the British Statist ideological orthodoxy has morphed from the purported aim of the integration of immigrants into English society, to an increasing authoritarian enforcement of the idea of multiculturalism and sustained attack on Englishness.

Multiculturism is purportedly an idea by where no one culture has any more rights to respect than any other, which is often backed up by appeals to the idea of fairness and equality. But this fairness and equality is not as, Professor Eric Kaufman has pointed out, applied to the English. He says that what we have actually got isn’t “multiculturalism” as such. What we have got is “asymmetric multiculturalism”, whereby all other communities are respected except for the English, who are not only not respected, but are actively denigrated and whose interests are suppressed.

The combination of multiculturalism and mass immigration has now reached a point where in political terms there is occurring a great change.

Commentators say that culture is downstream of demographics and politics is downstream of culture. If that is so, then we are now beginning to see the consequences and cannot do better than to refer to what happened in the Gorton and Denton By-election last week.

You might ask why I think that the Gorton and Denton By-election is significant.

The answer is that I think it is highly significant that the highly sectarian campaign of the Green Party to mobilise the Muslim vote and to ally with the pro-Hamas Palestinian cause was so successful.

This approach rests entirely on the huge scale of immigration into part of that constituency, whose boundary lines had been drawn no doubt partly to ensure, by gerrymandering, and the dominance of the Muslim vote which Labour had previously imagined was always theirs.

So what we have in that result is, in addition, to the election of Gaza Independence in the General Election and also to the development of Jeremy Corbyn’s “Your Party”. What we are seeing Ladies and Gentlemen is the open development of sectarian politics across England.

Before this we had only got clear insight into how the process would develop in Tower Hamlets with the Bangladeshi Muslim “Aspire Party” controlling that Mayoralty and ensuring that English taxpayers’ money is disproportionately spent on Bangladeshi interests. Thus helping to cement the area as an enclave, or you might say, a ghetto, of Bangladeshis.

Dr Philip Kiszely, of the New Cultural Forum said what the result means that “about 130 Islamic MPs at the next election”.

My view is that what we are going to see is a crystallization of such enclaves of different immigrant ethnic groups, the strongest and most cohesive of which will be the various Muslim ethnic groups who will take over the running of local government in their areas and appropriate much of the spending of local government to their sectarian interests. This will include controlling the police, as we saw in Birmingham. Not only did the police there do what the Islamists wanted over the question of Tel Aviv Maccabi fans coming to Birmingham, but the police chiefs then shamelessly lied about what they had done!

The Muslim vote will elect Muslims, or their fellow travellers, like Corbyn or the Greens and will seek to consolidate their areas of control.

So Ladies and Gentlemen the issue is now where does this development leave the English?

Well of course at present the English are being replaced particularly in urban areas.

Although I did see Lord Finkelstein’s sister was getting Defra to push for policies to “Diversify” in the English countryside and in the English country towns. The countryside Ladies and Gentlemen she said is “too white”!

There are now many hotels full of illegal immigrants, some of whom are serious criminals leading to not only to blatant and shameless shoplifting, but also to sexual assaults, rapes and also some murders of English people.

The State continues to discriminate against the English and its State schools push anti-English agendas, such as teaching nonsense about our history and its dishonest claims of “White Privilege”.

Whilst all this is going on, what is the reaction of English people?

Well there are signs Ladies and Gentlemen that the English are waking up. We had the raise the flags initiative, whereby quite large parts of our road transport system across England is now decorated with mostly the Cross of St George flags.

The Black Labour MP, Clive Lewis, claimed that flying the St George’s Cross is “exclusionary” and that people were marking out parts of England as being English. Perish the thought Ladies and Gentlemen - parts of England being English! Just imagine! But do note that this is not something the British Political Establishment are happy about!

In this context let’s consider for a moment what William Hague said when he was Leader of the Conservatives in the BBC interview on the 9th January 2000 after the then Labour Home Secretary, Jack Straw, said that the English “potentially very aggressive, very violent” and “will increasingly articulate their Englishness…”. The fake “Conservative”, William Hague said “English nationalism is the most dangerous of all forms of nationalism that can arise within the United Kingdom, because England is 5/6th of the population of the UK”. And he claimed that even back in 2000 that had been a rise of an English political consciousness and went on to say “Once a part of a united country or kingdom that is so predominant in size becomes nationalistic, then really the whole thing is under threat”.

So Ladies and Gentlemen let’s take stock of where the English are now.

English people are being displaced from our cities and that displacement looks set to extend further and further into England’s towns and then the countryside as the numbers of the immigrant population grow.

Downstream of that demographic and cultural change what will our politics do about it?

The traditional politics at least since the War has been between the two lodestars of the Labour and the Conservative parties, which have gradually become increasingly identical in terms of what their policies are.

British Liberal Democracy was working on the basis of a class division between the Middle and Upper class Tories and the working and Lower class Labour. Both parties have however abandoned their original class positions. These class divisions have, in any case, to a great extent, disappeared now.

The Labour and Conservative political competition seemed to work when almost all the voters in England were English and had a shared sense of national identity.

Now that that has gone where does that leave the English?

Gorton and Denton shows us what is probably going to happen.

If immigrant populations are voting for their interests and are working for their interests, we shall expect to see the English wake up that they need to work for theirs.

Gorton and Denton also shows the difficulty that has to be overcome because that is a constituency where in the General Election the turnout was 48.01% with an electorate of 76,524 and last Thursday it was 47.62%. Given that everybody is complaining about the surge in Muslim votes guess the ethnicity of the people who did not bother to vote. Ladies and Gentlemen anyone?

Ladies and Gentlemen it is the English who have so far failed to fully understand that the multi racial society that has been created by the pattern of mass immigration and by official policy which is intended to and does uniquely disadvantage the English as a People and as an ethnic community.

I imagine some people saying that the English are not an ethnic community or racial community or a national identity, national origin community. However let me tell you that the law would disagree with you. There are already cases holding the English to be all of those things. What we don’t however find that the English currently act together politically.

This is a pity, since in terms of numbers of people who strongly identify with being English are sufficient to out vote all the Establishment Parties if they could focus their vote in one way.

Ladies and Gentlemen in the 2012 Census over 60% of the population ticked the box of being “English Only” when that option was made prominent in the list of options. But in the most recent Census a big effort had been made by those designing the Census questions to try and put the option for “English Only” hidden near the end of the list of options. Nevertheless more people sought out that option and ticked it than voted Labour in any of the last three General Elections.

You might ask why the English do not vote in favour of their own interests.

The first point is that large numbers of English people do not actually vote at all. The Gorton and Denton General Election and By-election were elections where less than 50% of those who are on the electoral roll voted. You also need to bear in mind that a significant proportion of the indigenous English population avoid going onto the electoral roll, so the real proportion of the indigenous English population that actually voted in the Gorton By-election would be well under half. So not voting is one problem for any party seeking to represent the English.

The second problem is of course the usual problems of resources and awareness.

The third issue is of course that English people are still quite divided socially, economically and ideologically.

The ideological divide feeds into an idea that is still in the heads of many English people that the political parties actually stand for ideological principles. Despite the fact that the reality is that both of the British Establishment parties stand for more or less identical principles which are diametrically opposed to the interests of the English people.

There is then a number of different political parties that have recently arisen that are still making their political pitch as if we still lived in a liberal democracy where parties apparently stood for political ideologies, rather than in the emerging ethnically divided enclaves or ghettos that we now live in.

Then of course there is an official State effort to divide people. I am referring to the British State’s programmes under the heading of “Prevent”. I will give you one instance of how Prevent operates.

Tommy Robinson is pushing the idea of another Unite the Kingdom event in a few weeks time.

This is an event that people who attend it will feel good about but it will achieve absolutely nothing politically. It will have cost probably on average £100 for every person who attends it in terms of transport costs, in terms of food, drink and lost earnings.

For some people it will cost more, for some people it will cost less, but I am going for an average figure.

If Tommy Robinson manages his target to get a million people to go to his event that will therefore be £100m spent on a event which achieves absolutely nothing for any cause whatsoever, apart from possibly filling the pockets of some of the organisers. Something that I have had many people suggest to me!

The point is that the Government’s Prevent organisation will be happy about this because one of the “Prevent’s” programmes is called “Channel”. The purpose of Channel is to encourage anyone that challenges the multiculturalist state to waste their time and money on doing things that achieve absolutely nothing. Whereas £100m put into the coffers of an English patriotic political party would be very likely to dramatically change the politics, law and constitutional position of this country.

Food for thought Ladies and Gentlemen!

Key facts about the English Democrats

The English Democrats launched in 2002 and are the only campaigning English nationalist Party. We campaign for a referendum for Independence for England; for St George’s Day to be England’s National holiday; for Jerusalem to be England’s National Anthem; to leave properly and fully the EU; for an end to mass immigration; for the Cross of St George to be flown on all public buildings in England; and we supported a YES vote for Scottish Independence.

The English Democrats are England’s answer to the Scottish National Party and to Plaid Cymru. The English Democrats’ greatest electoral successes to date include:- in the 2004 EU election we had 130,056 votes; winning the Directly Elected Executive Mayoralty of Doncaster Metropolitan Borough Council in 2009 and also the 2012 mayoralty referendum; in the 2009 EU election we gained 279,801 votes after a total EU campaign spend of less than £25,000; we won the 2012 referendum which gave Salford City an Elected Mayor; in 2012 we also saved all our deposits in the Police Commissioner elections and came second in South Yorkshire; and in the 2014 EU election we had 126,024 votes for a total campaign spend of about £40,000 (giving the English Democrats by far the most cost efficient electoral result of any serious Party in the UK!). In the 2015 General Election we had the 8th largest contingent of candidates in England. In the October 2016 Batley & Spen, Westminster parliamentary, By-election we came second and easily beat all three British national parties. In the 2017 Greater Manchester Mayoral election we came 5th beating UKIP and beat the Greens in all but 2 boroughs. In the 2018 South Yorkshire Mayoral election we had 14,547 votes and saved our deposit and with a minimal campaign budget achieving 12.8% of the First Preference votes in Doncaster. In the 2021 Police Commissioner election in Essex we got 42,831 (10%) First Preference votes, plus probably the same again Second Preference votes for by far the lowest campaign spending of all the candidates. In the May 2023 local elections we got a councillor elected in Lincolnshire. In the May 2024 Police Commissioner elections we were clearly the foremost party on law and order issues and we got 44,909 votes in Essex (13.6%); and 21,646 in West Midlands (10.1%) and 7,739 in Lincolnshire (7.2%) for the lowest campaign spending of all the parties which we were in competition with and another Councillor elected.
