Bill Of Rights
Free and fair elections
Trial by jury
All under threat
First: the government’s new plan to abolish trial by jury for all but the most serious cases. This isn’t “streamlining.” This isn’t “progress.” This is the quiet dismantling of one of the oldest safeguards in English law — enshrined in the Bill of Rights and the Magna Carta.
Second: the growing evidence of election interference across the country.
Andrew Bridgen sent me a message this morning revealing that independent journalists were REFUSED entry to the count in North West Leicestershire.
The excuse? “We don’t want anyone filming the count.” Why not? What were they hiding?
And then we turn to Graham Moore and the Runcorn & Helsby result — where he was officially recorded as receiving 50 votes… yet my independent survey of local voters shows 190 out of 210 (90%) claiming they voted for him.
Statistically impossible. Constitutionally alarming. And nationally important.
This isn’t just Runcorn & Helsby. It’s Leicester. London. Birmingham. Devonshire. Everywhere.
If our elections are not free and fair, then nothing else in this country works.
